This is a favorite of “Moonshine!” author Matthew B. Rowley. It’s inspired by David Embury’s 1948 book “The Fine Art of Mixing Drinks.” It’s a sour: a base spirit plus lemon or lime juice, softened with a sweetener.
- 2 ounces cannabis-infused London dry gin (Beefeater)
- ½ ounce orgeat (almond syrup)
- ½ ounce lemon juice
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- Lemon wedges for garnish
Combine all the ingredients and shake with ice. Strain into a cocktail glass or pour over an ice. Garnish with lemon. Makes 1 serving. THC amount depends on the strain.
